The Robert Hayden Fund for Good

The Robert Hayden Fund for Good is an informal endowment that I am privileged to manage. The benefactor(s) does not wish to be acknowledged and requests that you do not mention it on social media or to others outside your immediate circle of family and friends. Instead, please offer an act of kindness to someone else who could use it.

Robert Hayden (1913-1980) was a poet, essayist, educator and member of The Bahá’í Faith. He was the first African American to serve as Consultant in Poetry to the Library of Congress, a role today known as Poet Laureate of the United States. Learn more about him at The Poetry Foundation.
